Medium Armors

Medium Armor provides substantial protection to the torso while preserving a relatively high degree of mobility. It commonly consists of mail, overlapping scales, laced plates, concealed metal reinforcements, or an isolated rigid cuirass.

Medium Armor may take the form of a haubergeon, hauberk, scale coat, lamellar corselet, jack of plates, reinforced jack, light brigandine, or breastplate worn without a complete plate harness. These armors principally protect the torso and may provide limited protection to the shoulders, upper arms, or thighs.
