Plate Armor is a complete or nearly complete harness of fitted metal plates. Articulated defenses protect the torso, shoulders, arms, hands, hips, and legs, while mail and padded garments cover the joints and remaining gaps.
Plate Armor may take the form of a full field harness, Gothic harness, Milanese harness, white armor, or another comparable suit of articulated plate. A breastplate or collection of isolated plate pieces does not constitute Plate Armor unless those pieces form a nearly complete protective system.
