An aspergillum is a tool used to sprinkle holy water or another prepared liquid. It commonly takes the form of a holy branch or a hollow mace.
Holy Branch
As an Action in Volley Phase (1), you can dip a Holy Branch into an aspersorium. It holds the liquid for 5 rounds. As a Master Action in Miscellaneous Phase (4), you can flick the branch at a target within 5 feet, reducing the remaining duration by 1 round. The primary target is coated automatically. Adjacent creatures make Reflex Saving Throws against a Dexterity Attack Roll using your Flails proficiency or are also coated.
Mace
A Mace Aspergillum has a reservoir holding 10 charges and loses 3 charges every 8 hours. Flicking it at a target within 5 feet is a Master Action in Miscellaneous Phase (4) and consumes 1 charge. Make a Dexterity Attack Roll using your Maces proficiency; the target makes a Reflex Saving Throw against the result or is coated.
You can recharge it from an aspersorium as an Action in Volley Phase (1), or open it and fill it from a flask. Mixed liquids prevent it from functioning until its sponge is wrung out and rinsed for 1 minute.
It can be used as a Light Mace without its normal proficiency features. Each attack consumes 1 charge. A hit coats the target automatically, but a result of 1 on d6 breaks the aspergillum.
